Vibhīṣaṇa—the radiant brother of Rāvaṇa—pointed out to Lakṣmaṇa a dreadful banyan tree, dark as a mass of rain-clouds.
"Because of these faults your father and my brother has been abandoned by me from this Lanka. This Lanka will not be there, nor your father and you too."
Dharma here is expressed as truthful counsel given for righteous protection: Vibhīṣaṇa openly identifies a danger so that the just side may prevent adharma-driven deception in war.
In the battle context, Vibhīṣaṇa indicates a specific banyan tree connected to Indrajit’s impending ritual/strategy, preparing Lakṣmaṇa to counter it.
Vibhīṣaṇa’s satya (truthfulness) and loyalty to dharma over clan—he aids Rāma’s cause by honest, timely intelligence.
