निकुम्भिला-यज्ञविघ्नः — Vibhishana’s Counsel and Lakshmana’s March to Nikumbhila
स हिब्रह्मास्त्रवित्प्राज्ञोमहामायोमहाबल. ।करोत्यसंज्ञान् सङ्ग्रामेदेवान्सवरुणानपि ।।6.85.18।।
tato dhairyam avaṣṭabhya rāmaḥ parapurañjayaḥ |
vibhīṣaṇam upāsīnam uvāca kapisannidhau ||6.85.2||
Then Rama, conqueror of hostile strongholds, steadying his courage, addressed Vibhishana seated nearby, in the presence of the Vanara leaders.
He is skilled in the use of Brahma's weapon, intelligent in conjuring, endowed with mighty prowess, and can make even varuna and Devatas unconscious.
Dharma here is steadiness under crisis: Rāma gathers courage and speaks with clarity before allies, modeling disciplined leadership rather than panic.
In the battle setting, Rāma prepares to give instructions and consults/addresses Vibhīṣaṇa in front of the Vānara host.
Rāma’s dhairya (steadfast courage) and composed command in a public, high-stakes moment.
