O best of men, delay is not fitting now, when the enemy’s destruction is at hand. Give the command to slay the foe, as Mahendra commanded when he crushed the enemy of the gods.

"O Noble one! On hearing Hanuman that Sita is killed by Indrajith, Rama is deluded', said Lakshmana to Vibheeshana."

V
Vibhīṣaṇa
R
Rāma
L
Lakṣmaṇa (implied as the one to be dispatched)
I
Indra (Mahendra)
E
Enemy of the gods (asura; archetypal)

Dharma is time-sensitive: when adharma threatens, hesitation can become complicity; righteous action must be prompt and purposeful.

Vibhīṣaṇa presses Rāma to act immediately and order the enemy’s elimination before conditions worsen.

Practical wisdom (nīti) aligned with dharma—acting at the right moment.
