यस्यार्थास्तस्यमित्राणियस्यार्थास्यस्यबान्धवाः ।यस्यार्थास्सपुमान्लोकेयस्यार्थाः स च पण्डितः ।।6.83.35।।

Transliteration

yasyārthās tasya mitrāṇi yasyārthās tasya bāndhavāḥ |

yasyārthāḥ sa pumān loke yasyārthāḥ sa ca paṇḍitaḥ ||6.83.35||

Translation

He who has wealth has friends; he who has wealth has kin. In the world, the one with wealth is deemed “a man of worth,” and the one with wealth is even called “learned.”

"Friends gather round him in whom riches abide. Relations stand by him who has wealth. He is considered manly in whom wealth abides, and he is learned who has wealth."
