इन्द्रजितो मायासीतावधः — Indrajit’s Illusory Sita Episode and Hanuman’s Rebuke
तांनिरीक्ष्यमुहूर्तंतुमैथिलीत्यध्यवस्यतु ।बभूवाचिरदृष्टाहितेनसाजनकात्मजा ।।।।
tāṃ nirīkṣya muhūrtaṃ tu maithilīti adhyavasyatu | babhūvā ciradṛṣṭā hi tena sā janakātmajā ||
After watching her for a moment, he concluded, “She is Maithilī,” for that daughter of Janaka had been seen by him not long before.
He looked at her for a moment and recognised her as Janaka's daughter since he had seen her not long before.
Discernment (viveka) is essential to dharma: one must perceive clearly before acting, especially amid deception and emotional turmoil.
