“Today I shall go alone and, with an iron bar, slay Rāma, Sugrīva, and Lakṣmaṇa, then return after throwing the vānaras’ army into turmoil.”

"Now I would go alone and with the iron crowbar, kill Sugriva Lakshmana and Rama and return after shattering the Vanara troops."

Harivāhinī (Vānara army)

The verse showcases adharma-like arrogance: a vow rooted in pride and violence, not justice; Dharma demands humility and righteous cause, not boastful destruction.

Prahastha boasts that he can single-handedly strike down Rama and his allies and rout the vānaras.

Negatively framed: it highlights the danger of hubris; the opposing virtue is humility and realistic appraisal.
