युद्धे अङ्गद-मैन्द-द्विविद-राक्षसयुद्धम्; कुम्भस्य प्रादुर्भावः तथा सुग्रीवेण पराभवः (Sarga 76: Angada and the Vanara chiefs battle Kampana, Prajaṅgha, Yūpākṣa, Śoṇitākṣa; Kumbha enters and is checked by Sugrīva)

Then Sugrīva hoisted Kumbha up and hurled him with force into the salty sea, as though to show him the ocean’s very bottom.
Then Sugriva lifted Kumbha and threw him into the ocean quickly, to show him the bottom.
In dharmic warfare, strength is exercised decisively against an aggressor; the verse illustrates rightful force (bala) applied to disable the foe in battle.
Sugrīva gains the upper hand in the grapple and throws Kumbha into the sea with great momentum.
Bala (physical strength) joined with fearlessness and initiative in combat.
