Shloka 6.75.62

लङ्कादाह-प्रचोदनं तथा वानर-राक्षस-समरारम्भः (The Burning of Lanka and the Outbreak of Battle)

तत्रोन्मत्ताइवोत्पेतुर्हरयोऽथयुयुत्सवः ।।।।तरुशैलैरभिघ्नन्तोमुष्टिभिश्चनिशाचरान् ।

tatrā unmattā ivotpētur harayo 'tha yuyutsavaḥ | taruśailair abhighnanto muṣṭibhiś ca niśācarān ||

Then the Vānaras there—eager for combat—leapt up as if maddened, striking the night-roving foes with trees, rocks, and even their fists.

Thereafter the monkeys eager to fight with night rangers rose as if gone mad striking the night rangers with trees and rocks.

Dharma here is expressed as steadfast participation in a righteous struggle: the Vānaras commit themselves fully to protecting their cause and allies, even using improvised means.

The Vānara forces charge into close combat against the Rākṣasas, using the natural weapons available—trees and stones—along with bare hands.

Courage and collective zeal (utsāha, vīrya) among the Vānara warriors.
