The Vānara troops, torches in hand, rushed in from all sides; and the misshapen-eyed Rākṣasas stationed as gate-guards fled at once in panic.

Vanara troops went all over with torches and chased by them, the Rakshasas at the gates ran instantly.

Dharma in action appears as collective courage and purposeful effort against oppression; the verse also implies that fear grips those defending an unrighteous cause when confronted by resolute unity.

The Vānara army advances with torches and charges the gate-guards, causing the stationed Rākṣasas to scatter and flee.

Fearless initiative and unity among the Vānara forces—acting together and pressing forward without hesitation.
