Since Kumbhakarṇa has been slain and his sons have been destroyed, Rāvaṇa can no longer mount an effective counter-defence now.
The lovely women sleeping in burnt mansion tops screamed loudly in desperation saying 'Alas! Oh Oh!' and removing their ornaments.
Unrighteous aggression weakens from within: when adharma drives war, losses accumulate until even defence becomes impossible.
After major rākṣasa champions fall (Kumbhakarṇa and his line), Laṅkā’s capacity to resist declines sharply.
Righteous perseverance (dhairya) on Rāma’s side is implied: sustained commitment to a just cause steadily dismantles unjust power.
