औषधिपर्वताहरणम् / The Retrieval of the Herb-Bearing Mountain
सर्वेविशल्याविरुजाःक्षणेनहरिप्रवीराश्चहताश्चयेस्युः ।गन्धेनतासांप्रवरौषधीनांसुप्तानिशान्तेष्विवसम्प्रबुद्धाः ।।6.74.74।।
sarve viśalyā virujāḥ kṣaṇena hari-pravīrāś ca hatāś ca ye syuḥ |
gandhena tāsāṃ pravarauṣadhīnāṃ suptā niśānteṣv iva samprabuddhāḥ ||6.74.74||
In an instant, all the heroic Vānaras—those wounded and even those who had fallen—became free of darts and pain through the fragrance of those supreme herbs, awakening as if from sleep at the end of night.
All those Vanara warriors killed were restored with life instantly by the fragrance. Those who were asleep also got up when they became fully awake.
Dharma is life-affirming and restorative: when a cause is righteous, the narrative emphasizes renewal and protection of the community rather than despair.
The scent of the supreme herbs restores the Vānara warriors immediately—like sleepers waking at dawn.
Collective steadfastness—revived warriors return to the struggle for righteousness with renewed strength and unity.
