After traversing a thousand yojanas, the great ape—the son of the Wind—moved about on the mountain that bore divine herbs, searching through it.
The great monkey, son of the wind god, having traversed a thousand yojanas began to range the wonderful herbs and went about searching.
Dharma is tireless effort for others’ welfare: immense travel and hardship are accepted as part of righteous service.
Hanumān has covered a vast distance and now searches the herb-bearing mountain for the required medicine.
Vīrya and utsāha (heroic energy and perseverance) directed toward a compassionate goal.
