औषधिपर्वताहरणम् / The Retrieval of the Herb-Bearing Mountain
सागरौघनिभंभीमंदृष्टवाबाणार्दितंबलम् ।मार्गतेजाम्बवन्तंस्मिहनूमान् सविभीषणः ।।6.74.13।।
tato viṣaṇṇaṃ samavekṣya sainyaṃ vibhīṣaṇo buddhimatāṃ variṣṭhaḥ |
uvāca śākhāmṛgarājavīrān āśvāsayan apratimair vacobhiḥ ||6.74.2||
Then Vibhīṣaṇa—foremost among the wise—seeing the army dejected, spoke to the heroic leaders of the monkeys, consoling them with incomparable words.
Vibheeshana and Hanuman seeing the ocean of Vanara army and the glowing arrows on them, looked for Jambavantha.
Dharmic leadership includes strengthening others in crisis—offering reassurance, clarity, and steadiness rather than despair.
After a difficult phase of battle, the vānaras are downcast; Vibhīṣaṇa addresses and encourages their leaders.
