Then Laṅkā shone with Indrajit—radiant like the sun and unmatched in valor—just as the sky shines with the blazing sun.
There upon the king, getting to know suddenly about the dreadful killing of his son and brother lost his senses. His eyes were filled with tears, and he was thinking seriously.
The epic often depicts brilliance and power vividly, but dharma evaluates such radiance by its alignment with righteousness—splendor alone is not moral proof.
Indrajit’s presence and preparation for battle are portrayed as making Laṅkā appear resplendent.
Heroic energy and fearsome prowess (vīrya/tejas) are emphasized as Indrajit’s defining traits.
