Shloka 6.72.7
अतिकायवधश्रवणं रावणस्य लङ्कारक्षाविधानम् (Ravana’s Reaction to Atikaya’s Death and the Fortification Orders for Lanka)
यन्नशक्यंसुरैस्सर्वैरसुरैर्वामहाबलैः ।।6.72.6।।मोक्तुंतद्बन्धनंघोरंयक्षगन्धर्वकिन्नरैः ।तन्नजानेप्रभावैर्वामाययामोहनेनवा ।।6.72.7।।शरबन्धाद्विमुक्तौतौभ्रातरौरामलक्ष्मणौ ।
yan na śakyaṁ suraiḥ sarvair asurair vā mahābalaiḥ | moktuṁ tad bandhanaṁ ghoraṁ yakṣagandharvakinnaraiḥ | tan na jāne prabhāvair vā māyayā mohanena vā | śarabandhād vimuktau tau bhrātarau rāmalakṣmaṇau |
That dreadful bondage—impossible for all the gods, or even for mighty Asuras, and for Yakṣas, Gandharvas, and Kinnaras to undo—was nonetheless cast off by the brothers Rāma and Lakṣmaṇa, whether by their innate power or by some bewildering art unknown to me; thus were they freed from the fetter of arrows.
"That formidable bond which could not be undone by Devatas, mighty Demons, Yakshas, Gandharvas, and Kinnaras got released by both the brothers, Rama and Lakshmana by their powers and conjuring tricks which are not known to me."
Dharma implies that righteousness is ultimately supported by a higher order; deceptive bindings may succeed briefly, but they do not prevail permanently.
The king reiterates his astonishment that Rāma and Lakṣmaṇa escaped a supposedly unbreakable arrow-constraint.
