Shloka 6.70.30

त्रिशिरा–देवान्तक–महोदर–मत्त (महापार्श्व) वधः | Slaying of Trisira, Devantaka, Mahodara, and Matta (Mahaparsva)

ततश्शरौघेरभिवर्ष्यमाणोविभिन्नगात्रःकपिसैन्यपालः ।नीलोबभूवाथविसृष्टगात्रोविष्टम्भितस्तेनमहाबलेन ।।।।

tataḥ śaraughair abhivarṣyamāṇo vibhinna-gātraḥ kapisainyapālaḥ |

nīlo babhūvātha visṛṣṭagātro viṣṭambhitas tena mahābalena ||

Then, drenched on every side by torrents of arrows and pierced through in his limbs, Nīla—the leader of the monkey host—stood shaken and slack-limbed, his movement checked by that immensely powerful assault.

Neela's body wetted by arrows all over, the limbs pierced with arrows, the monkey leader remained powerless and could not move in spite of being extraordinarily strong.

Dharma includes kṣānti and dhairya (forbearance and steadiness): righteous warriors may be wounded and halted, yet they persist without abandoning the cause.

Nīla is overwhelmed by an arrow-storm and momentarily immobilized on the battlefield.
