युद्धकाण्डे एकोनषष्टितमः सर्गः
Rāvaṇa’s Assault on Nīla and Lakṣmaṇa; Hanumān Bears Rāma
हिमवान् मन्दरोमेरुस्तैलोक्यंवासहामरैः ।शक्यंभुजाभ्यामुद्धर्तुंनसङ् ख्येभरतानुजः ।।6.59.111।।
himavān mandaro merus trailokyaṃ vā sahāmaraiḥ |
śakyaṃ bhujābhyām uddhartuṃ na saṅkhye bharatānujaḥ ||6.59.111||
Himavān, Mandara, and Meru—indeed even the three worlds together with the gods—might be lifted by two arms; but in battle, Bharata’s younger brother could not be lifted so.
It may be possible to lift Himalayas, Mandara, Meru mountains or even the Devatas of the three worlds but not possible to lift Lakshmana by shoulders.
