Shloka 6.58.22

प्रहस्तवधः (The Slaying of Prahasta)

जाम्बवांस्तुसुसङ्क्रुद्धःप्रगृह्यमहतींशिलाम् ।।।।पातयामासतेजस्वीमहानादस्यवक्षसि ।

jāmbavān tu susaṅkruddhaḥ pragṛhya mahatīṃ śilām | pātayāmāsa tejasvī mahānādasya vakṣasi ||

Then the radiant Jāmbavān, fiercely enraged, seized a great rock and brought it crashing down upon the chest of Mahānāda.

Energetic Jambavantha, enraged, took a huge rock, and hurled at the chest of Mahanada who fell down.

Dharma here is protective force: the righteous side must actively resist adharma; anger is directed into disciplined defense rather than cruelty.

In the ongoing melee, Jāmbavān attacks the rākṣasa Mahānāda with a massive stone, striking his chest.

Bala (strength) guided by purpose—Jāmbavān’s might is used to safeguard the dharmic campaign.
