अभवत्सुदिनेकालेदुर्दिनंरूक्षमारुतम् ।।।।ऊचुःखगमृगाःसर्वेवाचःक्रूराभयावहाः ।

Transliteration

abhavat sudine kāle durdinaṃ rūkṣa-mārutam |

ūcuḥ khaga-mṛgāḥ sarve vācaḥ krūrā bhayāvahāḥ ||6.55.11||

Translation

In a time that had been bright and auspicious, the day grew dark and the wind turned harsh; birds and beasts everywhere uttered cruel, fearsome cries.
