युद्धकाण्डे त्रिपञ्चाशः सर्गः — धूम्राक्षवधश्रवणं, वज्रदंष्ट्रप्रेषणं, अङ्गद-राक्षसयुद्धम् (Ravana Dispatches Vajradamshtra; Portents and Angada’s Assault)

वज्रदंष्ट्रोभृशंबाणै: रणेवित्रासयन्हरीन् ।चचारलोकसंहारेपाशहस्तइवान्तकः ।।।।

jaghnur vānarasainyāni rākṣasāḥ krodhamūrchitāḥ ||

Mighty Rākṣasas, skilled in weaponry and armed with varied missiles, maddened by anger, struck down the Vānara forces in the battle.

Vajradamshtra went about in the battle striking Vanaras just like death goes with a noose for destruction of the world.

Anger that overwhelms discernment (krodhamūrchā) is presented as a cause of indiscriminate harm. Dharma calls for controlled strength and accountability, not rage-driven slaughter.

The Rākṣasa fighters, empowered by skill and weapons, press hard against the Vānara ranks and inflict heavy casualties.

Technical skill (astra-vidyā) is acknowledged, but the verse stresses the moral failure of anger-clouded action.
