सुपर्णागमनम् (Garuda’s Arrival and the Release from the Serpent-Arrow Bond)
ततोमुहूर्तार्गरुडंवैनतेयंमहाबलम् ।वानराददृशुःसर्वेज्वलन्तमिवपावकम् ।।6.50.36।।
athābravīd vānarendraḥ sugrīvaḥ putram aṅgadam |
nānimittam idaṃ manye bhavitavyaṃ bhayena tu ||6.50.4||
Then Sugrīva, lord of the Vānaras, said to his son Aṅgada: “I do not think this commotion is without cause; surely something to be feared is about to occur.”
Then all the Vanaras perceived Garuda endowed with mighty prowess, the son of Vinatha blazing like fire.
Responsible leadership: a ruler should read signs carefully, avoid panic, and prepare to protect others when danger is suspected.
Sugrīva observes unusual disturbance among the Vānara forces and warns Aṅgada that it likely has a serious cause.
Prudence and vigilance (alert leadership), grounded in truthful assessment rather than denial.
