Shloka 6.48.6

सीताविलापः—त्रिजटासान्त्वनं च (Sita’s Lament and Trijata’s Consolation)

इमानिखलुपद्मानिपादयोर्यैःकुलस्त्रियः ।अधिराज्येऽभिषिच्यन्तेनरेन्द्रैःपतिभिःसह ।।।।

śrutvā tu vacanaṃ tasyāḥ sītā surasutopamā |

kṛtāñjalir uvāca emām evam astv iti maithili ||

Sita, radiant like a daughter of the gods, having heard Trijata’s consoling words, joined her palms in reverence and replied, O Maithili: “So be it.”

"Those virtuous lotus marks that a woman has on their feet to become crowned queen of a kingdom are seen in my feet."

Dharma here is expressed as humility and respectful speech even amid suffering—Sita acknowledges consolation with gratitude rather than bitterness.

After receiving reassurance from Trijata, Sita responds with folded hands, accepting the words of comfort.
