द्वन्द्वयुद्धप्रवृत्तिः (Dvandva-Yuddha: The Onset of Single Combats)
प्रजङ्घेनचसम्पातिर्नित्यंदुर्मर्षणोरणे ।जम्बुमालिनमारब्धोहनुमानपिवानरः ।।6.43.7।।
prajaṅghena ca sampātirnityaṃ durmarṣaṇo raṇe | jambumālinamārabdho hanumānapi vānaraḥ ||
Sampāti, ever hard to overcome in battle, fought Prajaṅgha, while the Vānara Hanumān engaged Jambumālī.
Sampathi , who is invariably difficult to encounter in war fought with Prajangha, and Hanuman started with Jambumali.
Sampati fought against the demon Prajangha, while Hanuman engaged in battle with Jambumali.
Sampati is described as 'nityam durmarṣaṇaḥ', meaning he is invariably difficult to encounter or overcome in battle.
