Shloka 6.41.81
युद्धलक्षण-निमित्तदर्शनं तथा लङ्काद्वारव्यूहः (War Omens and the Encirclement of Lanka’s Gates)
देवदानवयक्षाणांगन्धर्वोरगरक्षसाम् ।शत्रुमद्योद्धरिष्यामित्वामृषीणांचकण्टकम् ।।6.41.81।।
devadānavayakṣāṇāṃ gandharvoragarakṣasām |
śatrum adya uddhariṣyāmi tvām ṛṣīṇāṃ ca kaṇṭakam ||6.41.81||
Today I will uproot you—an enemy to gods, Dānavas, Yakṣas, Gandharvas, Nāgas, and Rākṣasas alike—who have become a thorn in the throat of the sages.
"You are an enemy of the gods, Danavas and Yakshas, Gandharvas and Nagas and being a thorn in the neck of sages, I will uproot you from here."
Dharma here is the protection of the righteous—especially sages—by removing a tyrant who harms many beings. It frames punishment as the ending of oppression rather than personal hatred.
Aṅgada, as Rāma’s envoy, confronts Rāvaṇa in Laṅkā and warns him of imminent destruction for his wrongdoing.
