All around, it was heavily guarded by fearsome rākṣasas in troops, striking terror into the lightly armed—like Pātāla, the netherworld, swarming with dānavas.

Dharma is shown indirectly: adharma fortifies itself through intimidation and concealment, while the righteous must face fear without abandoning truth or duty.

The northern gate area is described as intensely fortified by rākṣasa troops, setting the battlefield atmosphere before engagement.

The implied virtue is fearlessness and perseverance required of the dharmic side when confronting overwhelming, terror-based defenses.
