Rāma, the heroic son of Daśaratha, with Lakṣmaṇa at his side, took his stand at Laṅkā—the city guarded by Rāvaṇa.
(Dasaratha's son) Rama who had Lakshmana as follower reached the northern gate protected by Ravana. Just as the ocean is guarded by Varuna, it was guarded by terrific Rakshasas, who were secretly hiding all over like the Rakshasas in the subterranean region with small amounts of numerous armours for protection. It was not possible for anyone other than Rama to enter.
Dharma is steadfast presence: the righteous leader personally takes position at the heart of danger rather than delegating the burden to others.
Rama arrives and establishes his position in Lanka, with Lakshmana accompanying him, as the battle enters the city-stage.
Courageous leadership and Lakshmana’s unwavering service.
