Shloka 6.41.27

युद्धलक्षण-निमित्तदर्शनं तथा लङ्काद्वारव्यूहः (War Omens and the Encirclement of Lanka’s Gates)

तंविभीषणसुग्रीवौहनूमाञ्जाम्बवान्नळ ।ऋक्षराजस्तथानीलोलक्ष्मणश्चान्वयुस्तदा ।।6.41.27।।

saṁśaye sthāpyamāṁ cedaṁ balaṁ ca sa-vibhīṣaṇam |

kaṣṭaṁ kṛtam idaṁ vīra sāhasaṁ sāhasa-priya ||6.41.3||

“O hero, lover of daring deeds! By this bold act you have cast me—and the army along with Vibhīṣaṇa—into grave uncertainty; you have done something perilous indeed.”

Then Vibheeshana, Sugriva, Hanuman, Jambavan, Nala, Neela in the same way Lakshmana followed.

Dharma here stresses responsible leadership: courageous action should not recklessly endanger allies or create confusion in the ranks; a righteous leader balances valor with prudence and clear command.

As Rama presses forward in the battle campaign, a close companion (likely Lakshmana) warns him that a daring move has created uncertainty for the allied force, including Vibhishana.

Lakshmana’s virtue of frank counsel and protective loyalty—speaking truthfully for the safety of Rama and the allied army.
