सरमायाḥ सीतासान्त्वनम् तथा रावणनिश्चयश्रवणम् (Saarana Consoles Sita and Reports Ravana’s Resolve)
उत्सहेयमहंगत्वात्वद्वाक्यमसितेक्षणे: ।निवेद्यकुशलंरामेप्रतिच्छन्नानिवर्तितुम् ।।।।
samarthā gaganaṃ gantum api vā tvaṃ rasātalam |
avagacchāmy akartavyaṃ kartavyaṃ te madantare ||
You are able to traverse the sky, or even descend to Rasātala; I know that for my sake you would accomplish even what seems impossible, for you take it as your duty.
"Dark-eyed Sita! I am eager to go (to Rama's presence) and communicate your welfare and message. I can return back hidden (from Ravana's view)."
Dharma is framed as steadfast obligation (kartavya) toward protecting the innocent and supporting truth: Sītā recognizes Saramā’s sense of duty in helping her.
Sītā acknowledges Saramā’s extraordinary capacity and willingness to act for her welfare.
Gratitude and discernment: Sītā correctly perceives Saramā’s loyalty and moral intent.
