Shloka 6.31.35

मायाशिरोप्रदर्शनम् (The Display of the Illusory Head of Rāma)

सागरेपतिताःकेचित्केचिग्दगनमाश्रिताः ।ऋक्षावृक्षानुपारूढावानरींवृत्तिमाश्रिताः ।।।।

sāgare patitāḥ kecit kecid gaganam āśritāḥ |

ṛkṣāḥ vṛkṣān upārūḍhā vānarīṃ vṛttim āśritāḥ ||

Some plunged into the sea; some sought refuge in the sky. The bears (ṛkṣa), adopting the ways of the vānaras, climbed up into trees.

"While a few Vanaras dived into the sea, some took refuge in the sky. Resorting to their natural way the Bears climbed the trees."
