छिन्नंतेसर्वतोमूलंदर्पस्तेनिहतोमया ।व्यसनेनात्मनस्सीते ममभार्याभविष्यसि ।।।।

Transliteration

chinnaṃ te sarvato mūlaṃ darpaste nihato mayā |

vyasanenātmanaḥ sīte mama bhāryā bhaviṣyasi ||

Translation

O Sītā, your roots have been severed on all sides, and your pride has been struck down by me. In this calamity of yours, you shall become my wife.
