“See that Vānara there, standing and roaring toward Laṅkā—surrounded by a hundred thousand troop-commanders.”
"Who, surrounded by thousands of troops is roaring aloud facing Lanka, with whose roar entire Lanka with its boundary walls, archways, mountains and woods are trembling, that one who stands in the forefront of Sugriva the Lord of all Vanara troops is known as the great Nila."
The verse supports a dharmic principle of accurate situational awareness: recognizing the scale and leadership of forces helps prevent reckless aggression and unnecessary destruction.
Sāraṇa begins pointing out prominent Vānara figures to Rāvaṇa, introducing a major commander stationed facing Laṅkā.
Commanding presence and morale-strengthening power—standing at the front, roaring to rally forces and intimidate the enemy.
