O Lakshmana, behold Lanka rising upon the mountain peak! It seems to scrape the very sky, as though the divine architect Vishvakarma had fashioned it by mind alone.
"Lakshmana, you may see the city of Lanka elevated on top of the mountain as though clasping the sky, like the one created in the mind of Vishwakarma."
Rama describes Lanka as being situated so high on the mountain peak that it appears to touch or scrape the sky ('ālikhantīm iva ākāśam'), emphasizing its imposing verticality.
By stating that the city looks as if created by Vishwakarma's mind ('manasā iva'), Rama highlights the perfection, divine symmetry, and almost magical construction of Ravana's capital, suggesting it surpasses ordinary human capability.
