अयोध्याप्रत्यागमन-सन्देशः (Hanuman Sent Ahead to Ayodhya)
एतच्छ्रुत्वायमाकारंभजतेभरतस्ततः ।स च तेवेदितव्यःस्यात्सर्वंयच्छापिमांप्रति ।।।।
etac chrutvā yam ākāraṃ bhajate bharatas tataḥ | sa ca te veditavyaḥ syāt sarvaṃ yac cāpi māṃ prati ||
“After hearing this, whatever demeanor Bharata assumes—toward me in particular—observe and understand it all, and then report it back.”
"Listening to Bharata, and seeing his form, expression on hearing this news and knowing his intent, checking all this you may return to me."
Dharma requires clarity before assuming authority: Rāma seeks truthful knowledge of Bharata’s inner state to ensure the transition of rule remains righteous and non-coercive.
Before entering Ayodhyā, Rāma asks Hanumān to meet Bharata first, deliver the message, and carefully note Bharata’s reaction.
Prudence and respect: Rāma does not presume; he honors Bharata’s agency and integrity.
