भरद्वाजाश्रम-समागमः / Meeting Bharadvaja at the Hermitage (Homeward Blessings)
तस्यतच्छिरसावाक्यंप्रतिगृह्यनृपात्मजः ।बाढमित्येवसम्हृष्टःश्रीमान्वरमयाचत ।।6.127.18।।
tasya tacchirasā vākyaṃ pratigṛhya nṛpātmajaḥ |
bāḍham ity eva saṃhṛṣṭaḥ śrīmān varam ayācata ||6.127.18||
The prince, receiving his words with bowed head, joyfully replied, “So be it,” and the illustrious one requested the boon.
Glorious son of emperor obeying the words of Bharadwaja bending his head in reverence requested for that boon.
Dharma is respectful conduct: even a victorious hero approaches a sage with humility, accepting guidance and blessings as part of righteous life.
After Bharadvāja offers a boon, Rāma acknowledges the sage’s words with deference and asks for the boon.
Rāma’s humility and reverence toward spiritual authority (bowing his head while accepting the sage’s words).
