While you were engaged for the sake of the brāhmaṇas, protecting all the ascetics, this blameless wife of yours was abducted by Rāvaṇa.
After the fourteenth year of exile, on the fifth day of the bright half of lunar month Sri Rama and Lakshmana reached Bharadwaja's hermitage. They bent their heads down (as a mark of respect) and offered salutations.
Protecting the vulnerable (ascetics and brāhmaṇas) is affirmed as dharma, even though it exposed Rāma to personal loss.
At Bharadvāja’s hermitage, the sage recalls the context of Sītā’s abduction during Rāma’s protective duties.
Rāma’s guardianship and commitment to service—placing communal duty above private comfort.
