सीतासान्त्वनम् / Hanuman Consoles Sita with the News of Victory
इत्युक्तासाहनुमताकृपणादीनवत्सला ।हनूमन्तमुवाचेदंचिन्तयित्वाविमृश्य च ।।6.116.39।।
ity uktā sā hanumatā kṛpaṇā dīnavatsalā | hanūmantam uvācedaṃ cintayitvā vimṛśya ca ||6.116.39||
Thus addressed by Hanuman, Sita—tender-hearted and compassionate toward the afflicted—after thinking and reflecting, spoke these words to him.
Hanuman having spoken like that, Sita who was fond of the desperate, thus spoke to Hanuman thinking for a while.
Compassion (dayā) and thoughtful deliberation are part of Dharma; Sita does not respond from impulse but from reflection.
