Thus addressed by Hanumān, Sītā—steadfast on the path of dharma—spoke, overflowing with joy, her words choked by tears.
When Hanuman spoke in that way virtuous Sita was overwhelmed with joy and spoke with a voice choked with tears.
Even in extreme suffering, Sītā is described as dharma-sthā—firm in righteousness—showing that moral steadiness is not abandoned under emotional pressure.
After Hanumān speaks, Sītā finally responds, deeply moved and tearful with joy.
Sītā’s dharma-niṣṭhā (commitment to righteousness) alongside sincere, restrained emotion.
