Permitted by Rāghava, Mātali—Indra’s charioteer—mounted that divine chariot and ascended back to heaven.
Matali, charioteer of Indra too taking Raghava's permission went to heaven in that wonderful chariot.
Dharma as orderly completion of duty: divine allies assist, then withdraw appropriately; rightful missions have beginnings, ends, and respectful leave-taking.
Matali departs after his service, returning to Indra’s realm once Rama grants permission.
Matali’s dutiful service and Rama’s propriety in formally granting leave and concluding the episode with respect.
