Then, taking a single vessel and seating Vibhīṣaṇa upon an excellent throne, Saumitri consecrated him with the water of that vessel—by Rāma’s command—amid the Rakṣasas in Laṅkā, according to the rite revealed in scripture and mantras, while he was surrounded by his well-wishers.

Vibheeshana was made to sit on an excellent seat, surrounded by hosts of friends and dear ones. Thereafter, in the midst of Rakshasas chanting sacred verses in accordance with scriptures, Saumithri took a vessel of water and duly consecrated Vibhishana with the water in the vessel as commanded by Rama, in Lanka.

Dharma is righteous governance established through legitimate, rule-bound consecration: authority is granted by a just leader (Rāma) and confirmed through proper ritual, not mere force.

Vibhīṣaṇa is formally enthroned and anointed as king in Laṅkā, in the presence of Rakṣasas and well-wishers, following scriptural rites.

Rāma’s commitment to lawful order (rājadharma) and Lakṣmaṇa’s faithful execution of that lawful command.
