रावणस्य अन्त्येष्टिः — Ravana’s Funeral Rites and the Ethics of Post-War Conduct

निर्वृत्तस्त्वत्कृतेऽनर्थःसोऽयंमूलहरोमहान् ।त्वयाकृतमिदंसर्वमनाधंराक्षसंकुलम् ।।।।

nirvṛttastvatkṛte'narthaḥ so'yaṃ mūlaharo mahān | tvayā kṛtamidaṃ sarvamanāthaṃ rākṣasakulam ||

Because of you this great disaster—one that tears out the very root—has come to pass. By you all this has been done; you have left the entire Rākṣasa race orphaned.

"By this major disaster of yours, the very root has been destroyed. With the extermination of the Rakshasas, the entire Rakshasa clan is orphaned now by your action."
