रावणस्य अन्त्येष्टिः — Ravana’s Funeral Rites and the Ethics of Post-War Conduct

मानुषाणामविषयेचरतःकामरूपिणः ।विनाशस्तवरामेणसम्युगेनोपपद्यते ।।।।

mānuṣāṇām aviṣaye carataḥ kāmarūpiṇaḥ |

vināśas tava rāmeṇa saṃyuge nopapadyate |

Dwelling beyond the reach of men and able to assume forms at will, your destruction at Rāma’s hands in battle seems almost unbelievable.

"You lived in an inaccessible place and are capable of assuming any form at will. It is not believable how you have been destroyed by Rama."
