रावणवधः — The Slaying of Ravana (Brahmāstra Discharge)
ततस्तुसुग्रीवविभीषणाङ्गदाःसुहृद्विशिष्टास्सहलक्ष्मणास्तदा ।समेत्यहृष्टाविजयेनराघवंरणेऽभिरामंविधिनाभ्यपूजयन् ।।।।
tatas tu sugrīva-vibhīṣaṇāṅgadāḥ suhṛd-viśiṣṭāḥ saha-lakṣmaṇās tadā |
sametya hṛṣṭā vijayena rāghavaṃ raṇe 'bhirāmaṃ vidhinābhyapūjayan ||
Then Sugrīva, Vibhīṣaṇa, and Aṅgada—together with Lakṣmaṇa and other eminent friends—came together, rejoicing in the victory, and honored Rāghava, charming in battle, according to due rite.
Then all of them (hosts of gods) coming together, accompanied by Lakshmana, Sugriva, Vibheeshana, and Angada along with other friends, happy about the victory in the battle offered prayers to charming Sri Rama in accordance with tradition.
Dharma includes maryādā (proper conduct): gratitude and reverence must be expressed in a disciplined, lawful manner (vidhi), not merely as emotion.
Rāma’s allies gather after the decisive victory and formally honor him, marking the transition from battle to restoration.
Communal loyalty and reverence toward righteous leadership—friends uphold dharma by honoring the one who bore its burden.
