लक्ष्मण-प्राणरक्षा: (Lakshmana’s Revival by the Herb-Mountain)
ततःसङ्क्षोदयित्वातामोषधिंवानरोत्तमः ।।।।लक्ष्मणस्यददौनस्तस्सुषेणस्सुमहाद्युतिः ।
tataḥ saṅkṣodayitvā tām oṣadhiṃ vānarottamaḥ | lakṣmaṇasya dadau nastaḥ suṣeṇaḥ sumahādyutiḥ ||
Then Suṣeṇa—the radiant foremost among the Vānaras—crushed that herb and administered it into Lakṣmaṇa’s nostrils.
Thereafter, Sushena the foremost of the Vanaras, a brilliant one crushed the herbs and dropped the extract into Lakshmana's nose.
Dharma is shown as compassionate action in crisis—using knowledge and skill to protect life in service of the righteous cause.
The healer Suṣeṇa prepares the herb and applies it to revive Lakṣmaṇa.
Suṣeṇa’s competence and timely responsibility (kartavya-buddhi) in restoring an ally.
