Seeing heroic Lakṣmaṇa struck down in battle by the javelin of the exceedingly powerful Rāvaṇa, drenched in streams of blood, Rāma nonetheless pressed the fierce combat against that evil-minded Rāvaṇa—still releasing volleys of arrows—and then spoke these words to Suṣeṇa.
Seeing Lakshmana struck by exceedingly mighty, evil minded Ravana's javelin and soaked in blood Rama giving intense fight by discharging arrows also spoke as follows to Sushena.
Steadfast duty amid personal anguish: Rama continues the necessary battle even while confronting unbearable grief, showing responsibility to the larger cause of righteousness.
Lakṣmaṇa is struck by Rāvaṇa’s śakti; Rama keeps fighting while turning to Suṣeṇa, the healer, for urgent counsel.
Composure under crisis—Rama’s capacity to act for dharma even when emotionally shaken.
