When that weapon, infused with demonic power, bore down upon him, the foremost of the Raghus—great in resolve and blazing like fire—released the Fire-astra in response.
Deceitful and energetic Ravana provoked by anger, let loose more arrows of boar faced, dog faced, cocks faced, and alligators and serpents faced hissing like serpents and other such arrows against Rama.
Dharma in conflict includes proportionate, purposeful response: Rāma counters destructive adharma-force with disciplined power, not with panic or cruelty.
Rāma meets Rāvaṇa’s demonic missile by invoking a fire-governed astra to neutralize the threat.
Steadfast courage and controlled strength (śaurya with saṃyama): Rāma acts decisively without being overtaken by anger.
