रावण–रामयुद्धप्रारम्भः (The Intensification of the Rama–Ravana Duel)
रौद्रचापप्रयुक्तांतांनीलोत्पलदलप्रभाम् ।शिरसाधारयद्रामो न व्यथमभ्यपद्यत ।।6.100.35।।
raudra-cāpa-prayuktāṃs tān nīlotpala-dala-prabhān | śirasā dhārayad rāmo na vyathām abhyapadyata ||6.100.35||
Rāma bore those arrows, shot from the dreadful bow, as though they were blue-lotus petals in their sheen; he did not give way to pain.
Rama, into whose forehead Ravana had stuck arrows, felt them like blue lotuses released from his bow, and did not experience any pain.
Dharma appears as steadfastness (dhṛti): the righteous do not abandon duty due to bodily suffering; commitment to truth and purpose remains firm.
Though struck in the forehead by Rāvaṇa’s volley, Rāma remains unshaken and untroubled by pain.
Kṣānti and dhairya—endurance and calm fortitude under attack.
