अभिज्ञानवृत्तान्त-प्रत्यायनम् (Token of Recognition and the Crow–Brahmāstra Episode)
वायसेन च तेनैव सततं बाध्यमानया।बोधितः किल देव्या त्वं सुखसुप्तः परन्तप।।।।
vāyasena ca tenaiva satataṃ bādhyamānayā |
bodhitaḥ kila devyā tvaṃ sukha-suptaḥ parantapa ||
O scorcher of foes, while you slept at ease, the lady—continually pained by that very crow—indeed awakened you.
"O scorcher of enemies! pained by the crow hurting her repeatedly, while you were sleeping happily, she woke you up and informed you about it.
Dharma requires vigilance: even the powerful must be awakened to wrongdoing so that protection and justice are not delayed.
Sītā, suffering repeated injury by the crow, rouses Rāma from comfortable sleep to make him aware of the harm.
Sītā’s courage to seek help and speak truth; Rāma’s identity as a protector (implied by ‘parantapa’).
