Shloka 5.65.1

सीतावृत्तान्तनिवेदनम् / Report of Sītā’s Condition and Tokens of Recognition

ततः प्रस्रवणं शैलं ते गत्वा चित्रकाननम्।प्रणम्य शिरसा रामं लक्ष्मणं च महाबलम्।।।।युवराजं पुरस्कृत्य सुग्रीवमभिवाद्य च।प्रवृत्तिमथ सीतायाः प्रवक्तुमुपचक्रमुः।।।।

tataḥ prasravaṇaṃ śailaṃ te gatvā citrakānanam |

praṇamya śirasā rāmaṃ lakṣmaṇaṃ ca mahābalam ||

yuvarājaṃ puraskṛtya sugrīvam abhivādya ca |

pravṛttim atha sītāyāḥ pravaktum upacakramuḥ ||

Thereafter they went to Mount Prasravaṇa with its wondrous woodland. Bowing their heads, they paid homage to Rāma and to mighty Lakṣmaṇa; placing the heir-apparent in front, they saluted Sugrīva as well, and then began to relate the news of Sītā—what had happened to her and her present state.

Thereafter the vanaras arrived at the Prasrvana mount, with wonderful forests and bowed down to Sri Rama and mighty Lakshaman and Sugriva placing their leader, heir apparent in front. Then they began telling the story of Sita and her state.
