मधुवनभङ्गः — The Disruption of Madhuvana and Dadhimukha’s Complaint
इहागच्छत गच्छामो वानरान् बलदर्पितान्।बलेन वारयिष्यामो मधु भक्षयतो वयम्।।5.62.19।।
ihāgacchata gacchāmo vānarān baladarpitān | balena vārayiṣyāmo madhu bhakṣayato vayam ||5.62.19||
“Come—let us go to those vānaras, swollen with pride of strength; as they consume the honey, we shall restrain them by force.”
"Come, we will all go there to Madhuvanam and prevent forcibly the vanaras who have consumed honey proud of their power.
A guardian’s dharma includes stopping harm to entrusted property and preventing disorder; force may be used as measured restraint when duty requires.
Dadhimukha rallies the scattered guards to confront the honey-drinking vānaras who are acting arrogantly.
Protective courage and duty-bound decisiveness in defending what one is appointed to guard.
