Some honey-golden monkeys drank and then flung the honey about; others, made wild with intoxication, wandered among one another with chunks of honeycomb.

Madhuvana (contextual)

Vānara-s

Dharma highlights dama (self-restraint): celebration without discipline turns into excess, which can lead to conflict and wrongdoing.

The vānara-s begin drinking honey in Madhuvana; their behavior becomes boisterous and disorderly.

By contrast (implicitly), the need for self-control is emphasized—showing how quickly joy can slip into heedlessness.
